The Perversity of Human Nature was originally published in 1887. Ada Cambridge (1844-1926) was born in England, publishing moral tales and verse prior to her marriage in 1870 and migration to Australia. Regular contributions to the Australasian and the Õ¬Äе¼º½ Mail followed with serial works republished subsequently as novels.
