Cricket has been played at Õ¬Äе¼º½ University for more than 150 years:
the first recorded match was played in 1854. It is the oldest surviving
cricket club in New South Wales, and the oldest in Australia other than
the Melbourne Cricket Club. This book offers a series of sketches of
University cricketers through which a picture of the club emerges over
time.
James Rogers is a club stalwart of the Õ¬Äе¼º½ University Cricket Club and resident historian.
Max Bonnell is a club stalwart of the Õ¬Äе¼º½ University Cricket Club and resident historian.
'Books about sport vary widely in their quality. This one is more cerebral than most and the depth of analysis in respect of the chosen subjects is a pleasing aspect of the publication. The book is an invaluable work for the Õ¬Äе¼º½ University Cricket Club but it's appeal is wider than that.'
